POWIDZ, Poland -- A 7th Mission Support Command unit has been recognized by NATO for outstanding service to a multinational exercise.

The 209th Digital Liaison Detachment was awarded a certificate of excellent service by NATO’s Multinational Corps-North East for the detachment’s support to Saber Strike 18. The detachment tracked movements for a simulated command post exercise as part of Saber Strike 18 and a Joint Warfighter Assessment.

They use a computerized system to communicate between U.S. forces and NATO, helping build the capacity of NATO allies and partner nations.

“We are conducting liaison activities through the use of our mission command system as well as the NATO mission command system,” said Capt. Allen Rust, 209th DLD operations officer. “The combining our efforts to achieve interoperability with our multinational partners.”
