The 2018 Dyess Big Country Air and Space Expo came to an end at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, May 13.

The base was opened to the public during the weekend to educate them on the capabilities of the U.S. military.

The public witnessed acts such as Tora! Tora! Tora!, the Twin Tigers Aerobatic Team, the Air Combat Command F-16 Viper Demonstration Team, static and aerial displays of the B-1B Lancer and C-130J Super Hercules and a variety of aircraft from all over the Air Force.

Tora! Tora! Tora! demonstrated the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor to create a dynamic history lesson about the event that propelled the U.S. into World War II.

The F-16 Fighting Falcon flew by the crowd at speeds of 900 mph during show-of-force demonstrations.

The B-1 performed surprise fly-bys throughout the duration of the event.

Twelve delayed-entry program members from the local area recited the oath of enlistment which symbolized their commitment to become Airmen.
