The 43rd Fighter Squadron graduated 13 F-22 Raptor Basic Course students during a ceremony March 2, 2018.
The students completed a vigorous course of instruction that included academics events, examinations, sorties and simulator missions. The B-Course entails emergency procedures, instrument tasks, and day and night air-to-air refueling. The students are also educated on air-to-air employment, air-to-ground employment, basic low altitude employment and night-vision goggle and night employment.
At course completion, students have flown approximately 40 hours and are prepared to begin mission qualification training in their combat unit. Once they complete MQT, these pilots will be fully qualified to employ the F-22 Raptor in an air dominance role.
