KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- Editor’s Note: The Airman Spotlight is a monthly feature with the goal of highlighting Airmen who are contributing to the 403rd Wing’s mission accomplishment and making a difference in the lives of others.
Tech. Sgt. Jeranda Boykin, 815th Airlift Squadron aviation resource management operations technician, is a full-time air reserve technician who has been with the 403rd Wing for more than six years. She received her Community College of the Air Force degree in April 2017 and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in accounting.
“Being a part of this wing has been like being part of an extended family and has limitless opportunities to grow personally and professionally,” she said.
In 2017 she received several accolades, including noncommissioned officer of the quarter and NCO of the Year for the wing and was also coined by Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force Kaleth O. Wright.
She said she joined the Air Force Reserve because she wanted to further her education, travel and make a difference to others within her community and worldwide.
“She selflessly volunteered weekends to support 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron hurricane deployments during the peak of the 2017 storm season,” said Chief Master Sgt. Christopher Barnby, 403rd Wing command chief. “Her commitment to service and personal drive has been recognized by her leadership time and time again.”
