Over the next few days the Michigan National Guard will welcome home members of B Company, First Battalion, 147 Aviation Regiment based in Grand Ledge. The company has been deployed for 11 months to provide aviation support to U.S. forces in Kuwait, Iraq and Turkey.
“Though we can’t be at every airport to welcome them home,” said Maj. Gen. Gregory Vadnais, adjutant general of the Michigan National Guard and director of the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. “I would like to thank each one, and all of their families for their great service. We are glad they are all home safe.”
