The New Year celebration at Naval Hospital Bremerton’s Northwest Beginnings Family Birth Center waited until almost 15 hours into 2018 with the arrival of the first baby born.
Kiasha Blakely celebrated the birth of her daughter, Anarhi, who was born Jan. 1, 2018 at 2:48 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, and weighed 6 pounds, 10.7 ounces.

Both mother and baby are doing well.
