FORT BRAGG, N.C. – Holiday music was in the air as Paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division All American Band and Chorus rehearsed for the All American Holiday Concert at Fort Bragg, North Carolina Nov. 29.

The concert will be held outside the Division headquarters building on Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. and will be free to all.

Maj. Bryan Ralls, 82nd All American Band and Chorus commander and conductor, said the concert will encompass several genres of music and encourages Families and friends of the Fort Bragg community to attend no matter how they celebrate this holiday season.

“We’ve been preparing the music since September and we’re in the final pre-execution stage getting ready for this concert coming up in the next two weeks,” said Ralls. I’m totally confident it’s going to be fantastic.”

Ralls, who began his Army career as a private stationed at Fort Bragg in 1992, said he is proud to serve in the All American Band and Chorus.

“I spent my first Christmas away from home in the Army, here in the 82nd,” Ralls continued. “Now 26 years later I’m actually conducting the holiday concert.”

Staff Sgt. Jason Binde, an All American Band and Chorus production manager, hinted at some special surprises in store for this year’s concert.

“We have new state of the art sound and lighting this year,” said Binde. “We’ll also have the All American Chorus featuring several of our musical performance teams.

“It’s cool to see these guys come out, play and entertain the families,” he added.

Promising the performance will be fantastic, Ralls wants the largest crowed the Division has ever seen to attend the holiday concert.

“Come out and have a good time celebrating with the 82nd Airborne Division,” Ralls said. “The concert will really get people into the festive mood,”

Visitors who do not have a valid Department of Defense ID card will need to get a visitor pass at the All American Visitor Center, open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
