Oct. 30, 2017, marks the official start of the 2017 Combined Federal Campaign at Eielson Air Force Base.
Officially established on March 3, 1971, and with almost 200 campaigns throughout the country and overseas, the CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign. The campaign seeks to promote and support generosity through an employee-focused, cost-efficient and effective program, which provides federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.
The Icemen Team will have the opportunity to contribute to this year’s campaign from Oct. 30, 2017, to Dec. 8, 2017. Icemen are encouraged to make a pledge via monetary gift or volunteer time to one of the charities in the campaign.
The CFC goal for this year is to achieve maximum contact and participation by receiving involvement from individuals who want to help wounded warriors, provide medical care, feed the hungry, house the homeless, protect the environment and make a difference in a countless number of other ways.
The opportunity to help people and communities is limitless and made possible by two online systems: myPay and CFC Nexus. The myPay system is an easy, paper-free system for all full-time Department of Defense military and civilian employees.
If you want to set up a payroll pledge, it is strongly encouraged to use the myPay system. CFC Nexus is for anyone who is not able to use myPay or chooses to make a credit card contribution. Paper pledge forms are also available from your unit representative.
For more information, visit the CFC website (https://cfcgiving.opm.gov/welcome), call 907-377-3364, speak with your unit representative or contact the 354th Fighter Wing CFC Coordinator, 2nd Lt. Stephen Kent.
