Weller served as the Adjutant General of Colorado and the executive director of the Colorado Department of Military and Veteran's Affairs from 1974-1979, under former Colorado Govs. John D. Vanderhoof and Richard D. Lamm.
Current and former leaders, led by the Adjutant General of Colorado, U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Michael Loh, retired former Adjutant General Maj. Gen. Mason Whitney, and Command Sergeant Major Bill Woods, pay their respects to Maj. Gen. William D. "Dave" Weller.
Major David Nagel, Chaplain, the full-time State Chaplain for the Colorado Army National Guard presided. Military honors were provided by members of the Colorado Army National Guard, Colorado Air National Guard, Colorado Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, and the Colorado Department of Military & Veteran’s Affairs.
Weller passed away Oct. 16, 2017, at the age of 98.
