“We hope to represent the military well and the people watching feel as proud to be Americans as we do,” said Cadet 2nd Class Thompson Knox, a member of the group. “I’m hoping the American people push us through to the next round.”
America voted the group through to the semi-finals following their performance of Fun’s “Some Nights” on Aug. 15.
This performance could be the last time these 15 members perform together unless America votes them through to the finale. Since the season began, five of the 15 members have graduated from the Air Force Academy and are now serving in the Air Force.
"Representing something bigger than myself, that's the whole reason I'm in the military," said 2nd Lieutenant Ryan Douglas, another member of the group.
“The group has something special planned for our Sept. 12 performance,” he said. “It’s a secret, but I can tell you it will be great!”
To watch the live performance and vote the group through to the finals, check local listings for America’s Got Talent broadcast times. Voting opens up at 9 p.m. EST/ 8 p.m. MST/ 6 p.m. PST Sept. 12 and closes 7 a.m. EST/ 6 a.m. MST and 4 a.m. PST Sept. 13.
