    107th Attack Wing

    NIAGARA FALLS AIR RESERVE STATION, N.Y. (Sept. 6, 2017) — New York Air National Guard Master Sgt. Krystalore Crews, the human resources advisor assigned to the 107th Attack Wing here, will represent New York State as part of the Air Force National Team running in the Air Force Marathon in Dayton, Ohio, Saturday, Sept. 23.

    WHO: Master Sgt. Krystalore Crews, the human resources advisor for the 107th Attack Wing

    WHAT: Air Force Marathon in which Crews is the only female Airman, and only member of the New York Air National Guard to participate, chosen from a pool of applicants from across the entire Air National Guard.

    WHERE: Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, Niagara Falls, N.Y.

    WHEN: 1:00 P.M., Monday, Sept. 11.

    BACKGROUND:

    Master Sgt. Krystalore Crews:

    New York Air National Guard Master Sgt. Krystalore Crews has served in the Air National Guard since 2002.

    She has served as a communications specialist, production recruiter and recruiting and retention manager.

    Crews is a competitive runner, having competed in more than 20 marathons including qualifying for Boston in 2016 and 2017, and New York City in 2017. Previously, she was selected for the Becoming Ultra Project where she was filmed for a documentary for six months while training for a 50 mile marathon where she finished in the top 100 females out of 1,000.

    She is one of 10 runners selected for the Air Force National Team from the Guard, Reserves and active components of the Air Force.

    107th Attack Wing:

    The 107th Attack Wing was established in 1947 as one of the first Air National Guard units in New York state.

    The wing currently flies the MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft. The 107th also has two geographical separated units, the 222nd Command and Control Squadron in Rome, N.Y., and the 274th Air Support Operations Squadron in Syracuse, N.Y.

    At the same time, the wing also deploys Airmen overseas to support contingency operations in various theaters of operations.

    In 2017, the 107th Attack Wing completed it’s conversion to flying remotely piloted aircraft after previously flying the C-130 Hercules, the KC-135 Stratotanker, and a long history of fighter aircraft.
