    35th Corps Signal Brigade

FORT GORDON, GA – Training is one of the most important pillars of success to the U.S. Army, it’s a way of passing information to the next Soldier and insuring the concept of “the next Soldier up”.
Soldiers assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 35th Thetaer Tactical Signal Brigade are utilizing “Sergeant’s Time Training” to further the concept of training everyone to do replace anyone with lower tactical internet training.
Tactical internet is one of the top priorities of the Army it digitalizes the battlespace to provide command and control capability throughout the force.
“Learning about the different radio systems and equipment and how we use it across the Army was good,” said Sgt. Marquis Harvey, a human resources noncommissioned officer assigned to the Lion Brigade Headquarters. “We learned more than how to use the different pieces of equipment, but how the Army employs it in the fight, I definitely learned skills I can use the rest of my military career.”
Tactical Internet supports several key services, these services include functions such as electronic messaging, network management and security.
“I always thought it worked like normal radios and pieces of equipment you could but from stores,” said Sgt. Farod Williams, Brooklyn native. “But from this training I learned a lot about the security piece that goes with using the radios and that simple mistakes can deter from mission readiness and completion. This was good training and hopefully we expand on it in the coming weeks and months leading to the brigade field training exercise.”
Training Soldiers that traditionally don’t use certain pieces of communication equipment the skills to do such it only makes the U.S. fighting forces more well-rounded. Technically and tactically proficient Soldiers is the difference between mission accomplishment and mission failure and cross training and training scenarios like this is one of the ways the U.S. Army achieves balance among its Soldiers.
