Story by Sgt. 1st Class Helen Miller

    Michigan National Guard

Ellsworth enlisted in the Michigan National Guard and attended basic training at Fort Leonard Wood in 2008. He attended advanced individual training at Fort Leonard Wood in 2009 as a Military Police Officer.

Ellsworth also completed the Army Basic Leadership Course in March 2014 at Camp Ashland, Nebraska, the Ground Reconnaissance School in April 2015 at Camp Blanding, Florida, and the Advanced Leadership Course in January 2017 at Fort Hunter Liggett, California. He works full time for the Michigan National Guard at the Joint Forces Readiness Center in Lansing.

“Staff Sgt. Ellsworth is an excellent team member,” said Lt. Col. William Humes, public affairs officer for the 46th MPC. “Reenlistments strengthen readiness and add to the knowledge and experience of not only the 46th MPC, but the Michigan National Guard as a whole. We are pleased that he chose to reenlist.”

Ellsworth resides in Linden, Michigan and has been a volunteer firefighter for Argentine Township Fire and Rescue since November 2009.
