Get outside, wherever you are.
Saturday, April 22, 2017, marks the 47th Earth Day.
Whether walking to class or heading out from McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base for the weekend in east Tennessee, the natural environment was a great part of the sunny campus life here at the Air National Guard’s I.G. Brown Training and Education Center, April 21, the day before Earth Day.
So there is a few photos representative of the different textures, colors, and light in TEC's natural campus to celebrate.
Earth Day is a global celebration and promotion of the environment and climate. It was first celebrated in 1970 in the United States. Officials credit it to the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Clean Air, Clean Water and Endangered Species Act.
The Earth Day 2017 theme is Environmental and Climate Literacy.
