Story by Tech. Sgt. Jessica Hines

U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa

Approximately 25 Airmen from U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa will be participating in African Partnership Flight, Burkina Faso, alongside the participating nations of Burkina Faso, Chad, Mali, Mauritania and Niger, with observers from Cote d’Ivoire and Morocco, April 17-21, 2017.

This iteration of APF, which will be the 10th APF to be held since March 2012, is hosted by the government of Burkina Faso. It will focus on the maintenance and logistics requirements necessary to forward deploy two light utility aircraft (C-208) in response to humanitarian assistance disaster relief events to include pre-departure preparation, execution and sustainment, and deployment conclusion.

Collaborative learning environments such as APF strengthen the relationships between the U.S. Air Force and the air forces of participating nations in order to build aviation capacity, enhance regional cooperation and increase interoperability.
