The Air Force Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Stephen W. Wilson visited Airmen before speaking at the local Air Force Association banquet here, Oct. 21.
Wilson spoke with security forces Airmen during an all-call at the base theater to discuss upcoming Air Force-wide changes and to learn about defender culture.
Wilson also visited Airmen from the 582nd Helicopter Group and the 37th Helicopter Squadron. Col. David Smith, 582nd HG commander, showed the improvements the group is making to the UH-1Ns to benefit operations in the missile fields.
Later in the evening, Wilson was the guest speaker at an AFA banquet in Cheyenne, Wyo. He spoke about fostering the relationships between the military and the communities they serve in.
“Today's Airmen are just incredible, and every Airman I meet makes me tremendously proud,” Wilson said. “I'm also really proud of places, like Cheyenne, that embrace our military, active duty, Guard and Reserve, and that understand the value our military brings to our nation."
