Bellevue University is a private, regionally accredited, non-profit school nationally recognized as a military-friendly institution. Col. Ryan Samuelson, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander, was joined by Dr. Mary Hawkins, Bellevue University president, during the ribbon cutting.
“We were started by a war hero of World War II who flew in the Battle of Midway,” said Hawkins. “For Bellevue, serving military members has been our mission since 1965 when Bellevue began. We’ve always made military personnel a high priority because they are a high caliber of directed, committed personnel who want to continue to improve their lives and this country.”
Bellevue University will offer three of its most popular graduate programs at Fairchild: Master of Science in Human Resource Management, Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Cybersecurity.
“Bellevue University is going to leverage technology that will allow for smaller classes,” said Hank Pelella, Fairchild Education Center services officer. “With the leveraging of this technology, these programs will be here for Fairchild Airmen now and down the road.”
Bellevue University is recognized for their value, affordability and quality of programs. They also top the charts consistently as one of the most military-friendly schools in the country.
“Serving military members aligns with our values,” said Hawkins. “We find military members have the perseverance to stick to it and the drive to work hard. They have obstacles along the way such as deployments and moves; however, we’ve built our programs flexibly so we can serve our military members as they encounter their military life.”
Fairchild Education Center is home to four institutions including Bellevue University, Spokane Falls Community College, Park University and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
