The newly pinned chiefs went through two phases of Chief Petty Officer 365 which is a total of 52 weeks of leadership training that consists of practical application of leadership styles and mentorship while being placed in multiple different atmospheres and situations.
During the ceremony, Rear Admiral John Smith, Chief of Staff of U.S. European Command, addressed the Sailors and said the term “ask the chief” is esteemed and is the foundation of the chief petty officers association.
Command master chief Matthew Harris from DISA Europe Senior Enlisted Adviser, and Senior Chief Yeoman Brian Curran, along with Senior Chief Information Systems Technician Patrick Holden, took the lead in this year’s phase two training.
