(TAPA TRAINING AREA, Estonia) – Two Soldiers from Company A, 3rd Battalion, 69th Armored Regiment graduated from the Estonian basic training course September 16, 2016 at Tapa Training Area, Estonia.
Cpl. Michael Tucker and Spc. Treviontea Johnson, both infantrymen, had volunteered for the 11-week course back in June of this year.
Both Soldiers expressed how excited they were during the graduation ceremony and how they anxiously waited to be called upon to receive their certificates.
“This was a great experience for me because I was able to train with the Estonians for 11 weeks and learn how they operate on a day-to-day basis,” said Johnson, a Los Angeles native. “Hopefully in the near future I will get to see some of the people that went through the course with me.”
Soldiers from 3rd Bn., 69th Arm. Rgmt. are currently in Estonia as a part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, a demonstration of continued U.S. commitment to collective security through a series of actions designed to reassure NATO allies and partners of America's dedication to enduring peace and stability in the region.
