MCGHEE TYSON AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Tenn. -- A four-man paint crew made progress here August 25 in a hallway on the first floor of the dormitory building under construction at the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center in Louisville, Tenn.

The painters were busy throughout the summer.

There’s more than 46,000 square-feet of space to paint, and much of that has the final coat, if not for some touch ups. Needed touch ups are listed on room completion checklists posted at various areas.

The lower wall color is named Sycamore Tan, and the upper color is Bittersweet Stem.

Their system involved two brushing around the door trim and one painting the center border with a small roller, then; a fourth worker followed up behind them, covering broad areas with an extra-wide roller.

The two, three-story dormitory buildings have 97 single-occupancy rooms. The larger facility includes ten 20-person and two 100-person classrooms.

The campus project broke ground two years ago and is nearing completion.

The TEC is the Air Force's largest and longest continually running enlisted professional military education center.
