    Navy Expeditionary Combat Command

Navy Expeditionary Combat Command (NECC) announced its August Civilian of the Month in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Aug. 1.

Rich Morrison, assigned within the NECC Training (N7) department is responsible for providing guidance to all NECC Echelon IV commands related to Advanced Skills Management (ASM) and Fleet Training Management and Planning System (FLTMPS).

"I'm grateful to work in a profession I enjoy, and even more-so, I'm proud to work with a great N7 team, and NECC at large," said Morrison.

Nancy Harned, NECC's Executive Director recognized Morrison for his ASM direction and leadership of active and reserve forces within the expeditionary force.

Harned added that one of the reasons Morrison was chosen as the Civilian of the Month for NECC was for his management of the Force's Master School List for each responsible organization within FLTMPS.

Morrison also updated course content based on use of inputs, and ensured accuracy in systems that track student metrics. His work achieved cost savings that will benefit the NECC.

"The Navy relies on its Expeditionary Combat Forces to be well-trained," said Harned. "Mr. Morrison contributed to that mission by coordinating process steps with our ECH IVs that validated requirement accuracy and removed duplication, while ensuring requests were accurately formatted supporting NETC requirements."

NECC is an enduring warfighting force providing sea-to-shore and inland operating environment capabilities across the full range of military operations that is focused on delivering combat effective expeditionary forces ready for worldwide operations now and into the future.
