U.S. Army Pfc. Emmanuel Alfaro, an infantryman assigned to the 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, deployed to Kosovo out of Fort Carson, Colo., distinguished himself from his peers, winning the Multinational Battle Group-East Soldier of the Month for April 2016.
Alfaro was selected as the Soldier of the Month by senior enlisted Soldiers throughout the battle group after undergoing an intense line of questioning aimed at testing his military knowledge. Additionally, Alfaro’s military history, to include his physical fitness test scores were reviewed and compared to other competitors.
Alfaro, a Las Vegas, Nevada native, enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2014 and is currently deployed in support of Kosovo Force 21 (KFOR) for a nine-month tour.
Emmanuel is a graduate of Western High School in Las Vegas where he was a member of the school’s football team his senior year.
