CMSAF James A. Cody visits RAF Mildenhall

    RAF MILDENHALL, UNITED KINGDOM

    01.27.2016

Story by Staff Sgt. Nathan Tucker

    100th Air Refueling Wing

RAF MILDENHALL, United Kingdom - Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, James A. Cody visited Airmen and got a firsthand look at RAF Mildenhall operations during a recent trip to the base.

In addition to other units, the CMSAF visited the 100th Operations Group, 352nd Special Operations Wing, and the 95th Reconnaissance Squadron.

A Major part of his visit was an all call, where he talked with Airmen, answered questions, and offered his thanks for their dedication and hard work. A topic of interest was the projected closure of RAF Mildenhall, and CMSAF Cody said that the Air Force will continue to project air power, and adapt to meet the needs of the refueling mission provided by Mildenhall Airmen.

"Things that happen around the globe kinda have a vote in what we do and where we are. So things are changing in this theater constantly, right? So we will constantly reassess decisions that we've made to employ the best strategy of where do we put Airmen, where do we put air power, so we can best achieve the effects that we need to affect."

CMSAF Cody expressed his confidence in the forces ability to adapt and be successful in facing future challenges, and left Airmen with a message of encouragement.

""Be the best Airman that you can be, do the best job that you can do. You won't always be the best, but this is about your service, your effort matters, right? Your commitment matters. Live by those core values, do your best every day, you'll be successful, you'll definitely have an impact on our Air Force, you'll definitely have an impact on others."
