WASHINGTON, Dec. 16, 2015 – The White House Office of Management and Budget and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management announced Dec. 15 that two DFAS senior executives were selected to receive Presidential Rank Awards.
Teresa A. McKay, DFAS Director, was selected for the award in the 'Distinguished' category while Jonathan R. Witter, Deputy Director for Strategy and Support, was selected in the 'Meritorious' category.
Established in 1978, the Distinguished Rank Award is presented to leaders who achieve sustained extraordinary accomplishments, and the Meritorious Rank Award is presented for sustained accomplishments.
Agency heads from across the federal government nominate senior executives and senior career employees for Presidential Rank Awards. Only 1 percent of senior executives and 1 percent of senior career employees may earn the respective Distinguished Rank Awards. Only 5 percent of senior executives and 5 percent of senior career employees may receive the respective Meritorious Rank Awards.
