    525th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade

    FORT BRAGG, N.C. - The 519th Military Intelligence Battalion held a change of command ceremony, Nov. 24, for the unit's commander at the 525th Military Intelligence Brigade parade field.

    Thunder' Battalion welcomed Lt. Col. Danielle DiBacco as commander of the 519th and bid farewell to Lt. Col. Joshua Fulmer.

    'Lightning' Brigade commander Col. James Walker served as the event reviewing official and offered remarks welcoming Lt. Col. DiBacco and bidding farewell to Lt. Col. Fulmer.

    "Danielle, the brigade welcomes you to Fort Bragg. Your Soldiers will depend on you to prepare them in training while caring for them and their families," said Col. Walker. "It is your charge to make sure the 519th is ready the next time you are called on to support this great nation. I know you are up to the challenge and look forward to seeing continued excellence from you and your team."

    In her remarks, Lt. Col. DiBacco noted being excited to take command of the 'Thunder' Battalion.

    "To the Soldiers of the 519th and Command Sgt. Maj. Quinn, I promise to give you all my best every single day as I believe that is what each of you deserve," said Lt. Col. DiBacco. "I'm truly honored and humbled to be standing before you this morning as your Commander. I'm ready to tackle the challenges that lie before us together."

    In his remarks, Lt. Col. Fulmer noted the accomplishments of 'Thunder' Soldiers during his time in command as well as gratitude for being able to command the 519th.

    "During the last two years, some of the Soldiers standing in the formation in front of you have supported deployments to Afghanistan, Kuwait and Africa," said Lt. Col. Fulmer. "I can say that it has been an honor and a privilege to serve as the commander of the 519th Military Intelligence Battalion."

    Prior to taking command of the 'Thunder' Battalion, Lt. Col. DiBacco served as an intelligence officer for a special mission unit here.

    Lt. Col. Fulmer is slated to be a planner for the XXVIII Airborne Corps G-2 as his next assignment.

    The 525th Military Intelligence Brigade, and Expeditionary Force conducts multidiscipline intelligence operations in support of echelons corps and below, providing downward reinforcing capabilities to the Division, Brigade Combat Teams, and other formations. The Brigade and Battalion Headquarters are designed to receive, integrate, employ, and sustain intelligence enterprise capabilities in support of Corps, Division, and Joint Task Force Commanders.
