FORT BELVOIR, Va. - The Career Program 26 (CP26) – Manpower and Force Management Proponency Office joined the U.S. Army Force Management Support Agency (USAFMSA) for an afternoon of beautiful autumn weather and esprit de corps at the USAFMSA Organization Day held at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Oct., 9, 2015.
The afternoon was filled with games, music and a picnic lunch hosted by Col. Keith Rivers, USAFMSA deputy commander.
“I really appreciate the invitation to join our colleagues at USAFMSA for their Organization Day.” said Ms. Michele Davis, CP26 Program Manager. “Being able to meet and engage with our CP26 interns and careerists in an informal setting enables us to get to know the community we serve so that we make better leadership decisions.”
USAFMSA’s organization day picnic at Fort Belvoir was the final one for the organization this year, with their divisions at Fort Lee, Virginia and Fort Leavenworth, Kansas participating in similar events earlier this year.
“It was important to invite the CP26 Proponency Office to this picnic,” said Rivers. “We work very closely with them in terms of training and development. They are an integral part of our team.”
USAFMSA develops, maintains and distributes the Army's organizational requirements and authorization documents and data and provides force management analytical, systems automation and educational support to enable the Army to organize, man, train, equip, sustain, station and deploy the force.
“I am very pleased that we were able to do this,” said Rivers. “These events are important to build unit cohesion and build mental resilience. I look forward to hosting similar events such as these in the near future.”
