AVIANO AIR BASE, Italy -- The Combined Federal Campaign has been an official Department of Defense program since 1961 and Team Aviano's 2015 campaign is in full swing. It was kicked off on Sept. 21 and runs through Nov. 20.

This year the CFC committee raised the bar by increasing last year's to $251,159.60 with100 percent contact of all personnel.

"There are so many organizations that truly make a huge difference in our world and you never know when you or someone close may need help," said U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Craig Ravina, 31st Logistics Readiness Squadron Material Management superintendent and CFC-Overseas community project officer.

Team Aviano has the opportunity to donate and support more than 2,600 charitable organizations worldwide.

"If you cannot narrow down to a specific organization but still want to give, your donation will go directly to Team Aviano," explained Ravina. "It may be used to help support Youth Programs, recreational events and other morale happenings across the wing."

The CFC makes it easy for, members to contribute by providing three simple ways to donate. Donors have the option to use a pledge card, set up a recurring allotment through MyPay or donate through the CFC-O eGiving website.

"I think it's important to spread the word and make it easy for people to donate," said Ravina. "My job is to help inform the base populace of their options. That's why the two full months annually work so well because we can focus a lot of energy on getting the information out to everyone."

Ravina encourages members to donate out of the goodness of their hearts. For more information on the CFC-O, contact your unit representative or visit http://cfcoverseas.org
