    WEST POINT, N.Y. – North Carolina National Guard small arms repair specialists from the 626th Maintenance Company, 630th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 113th Sustainment Brigade provide armament support to the United States Military Academy from Aug. 17 to 30, 2015.

    The team of five, led by Chief Warrant Officer 2 Rhonda Krise preforms service checks, annual inspections and technical gauging on M4 rifles used by cadets at the academy for field training and weapons qualification.

    “We have been very busy, our team has cleared over 800 weapons,” said Krise. “This has been great training for us to work on such a high volume, we have all been able to raise our proficiency level and we will take this back home to North Carolina where we will perform the same function for the 113th.”

    The team was visited by Maj. Gen. Beth Austin, the assistant deputy commanding general, Army National Guard, Army Material Command who facilitated the coordination between the North Carolina National Guard and the United States Military Academy.
