    Question and Answers

Q: How long have you been doing your job?

A: I have been performing my job for almost a year now.

    Q: What are your goals?

A: My goal is to finish up my bachelor’s degree within the next year and a half, and they I would like to attend Officer Candidate School.

    Q: What are your hobbies?

A: My hobbies are volleyball, softball, running and reading.

Q: What do you like most about the Army?

A: The best part of the Army is that there is routine and structure to my day, and it gives me the knowledge that I am doing my part to serve my country.

Q: What would you change about the military service life?

A: I honestly would not know what to change about the military service life. This is all I’ve known and seen my whole life, as my family served in the Army, too.

    Q: Describe your military career.

A: I joined the military at 20 years old. I had just finished two years of college, but wanted to join the Army while I was still young. I knew that I could always finish up my schooling while I was in the service. I went through 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training, 26 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, and now I am stationed in Germany.

Q: What do you like most about being stationed in Germany?
A: The best part of being stationed in Germany is that I am close to my family. This is where I grew up, and this is what I am familiar with.

Q: What is your favorite movie genre?

A: My favorite movie genres are horror and comedy.

Q: What are you most proud of?

A: I’m most proud of my family--my husband and how well he is doing in the military, and I am proud to have my daughter.

Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want with you?

A: If I were stranded on a deserted island I would want Wi-Fi, a towel and a boat to get me back to shore.

Q: If you could spend one hour with anyone, who would it be and why?

A: It would be Charles Harrell, my grandpa, whom I only knew for the first 10 months of my life. I would like to spend an hour with him because of how highly and proudly everyone speaks of him in my family. I want to tell him that he is one of the reasons that I wanted to join the Army, and that I love him even though we only knew each other for such a short amount of time. I can see all the love in the pictures I have of him holding me as a baby.
