MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif.- The San Diego State University women’s basketball team and Marine Corps Officer Selection Office San Diego partnered for a two-hour fitness challenge aboard MCAS Miramar, Calif., Sept. 1.
Challenge events included a Marine Corps combat fitness test, memory competition, leadership reaction course, squad push-ups and a team-building exercise. Each event was designed to push players past their comfort zones physically. Following the physical competitions, team members were tasked to complete critical thinking exercises pushing them to work mentally through the physical exhaustion.
