    What: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs leaders in the north Georgia area will hold a press event to highlight local progress, achievements and programs over the past year and talk about organizational challenges/needs in the years ahead.

    Who: Atlanta VA Medical Center Director Leslie B. Wiggins; Atlanta Regional Benefits Office Director Al Bocchicchio; and Stephan Frank from the National Cemetery Administration, Southeast District.

    When: Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 1 p.m.

    Background: All three local branches of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will be on hand to highlight partnership and collaboration efforts aimed at fulfilling President Lincoln's promise "To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan". Updates will also be provided on local progress, achievements and programs over the past year along with organizational challenges local VA facilities face in the years ahead.

    A tour of the Community Resource and Referral Center (CRRC) will be available for those media representative interested in learning more about services for Veterans who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.
