A: I want to be an NCO and hope to establish a long, successful Army career.

    Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I enjoy fishing, hunting, playing sports and riding ATV’s.

A: The Army has given me the opportunity to see the world and fulfill my dream of serving my country.

Q: What would you change about the military service life?
A: I would change the military promotion system. Promotion should not be based off of time and needs to better emphasize performance.

    Q: Describe your military career.
A: I graduated basic training and AIT in January 2015 as an interior electrician (12R). My first duty station and current home is Tower Barracks, U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria, Germany, assigned to the 902nd Engineer Company, 15th Engineer Battalion. I am two months into my first operational deployment to Estonia, where we are conducting construction at the Tapa Training Area.

Q: What do you like most about being stationed in Germany?
A: I get to experience a new country and the German culture. Also, Germany is convenient for traveling to different countries all over Europe within a relatively short distance.

Q: What is your favorite movie genre?
A: I enjoy action movies and thrillers.

Q: What are you most proud of?
A: I’m most proud of joining the military and serving my country.

Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want with you?
A: I would bring pictures of loved ones, a set of dog tags that have quotes with sentimental value, and a coin with the prayer to St. Michael.

Q: Name someone who has influenced or inspired you during your military career (could be a leader, mentor, peer or subordinate) and explain why.
A: Staff Sgt. Bixler, my current squad leader, has influenced me the most so far in my military career. He fully invests in his Soldiers in order to help them develop and reach their true potential. I look forward to working with him every day, and he is who I want to emulate if given the opportunity to be an NCO.

Q: If you could meet one individual, alive or dead, who would it be and why?
A: I would like to meet Arnold Schwarzenegger because he has a very influential life story, and he’s motivational. In my opinion, he is what I believe to be a great role model!
