CAMP ATTERBURY, Ind. – Approximately 150 Airman with the 181st Intelligence Wing arrived at Camp Atterbury-Muscatatuck to perform annual training June 7, 2015.
Airman from the 181st Intelligence Wing will participate with state and local officials in domestic operations training in response to a simulated hurricane disaster.
The 181 IW plays an important role in disaster response. In the event of a natural disaster, the 181 IW is capable of responding rapidly in support of civilian authorities to save lives, conduct search and rescue, preserve or restore civil order, protect property, maintain or re-establish communications, etc.
The 181 IW provides operationally ready, deliberately developed, and expertly led Airman to support our communities, state and nation.
