    311th Expeditionary Sustainment Command

LOS ANGELES – For the third time this month, the 311th Expeditionary Sustainment Command’s Army Reserve Soldiers brought their vehicles out for display at a community event May 30 at the Los Angeles Police Department’s 12th Annual Still Saving Lives Car Show and Safety Fair. The 311th ESC featured two High-Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles and two Light-Medium Tactical Vehicles, which were particularly popular with kids.

The 311th ESC maintains a close relationship with many of the law enforcement agencies and other community partners throughout the greater Los Angeles area through these types of events. As one of the predominate Los Angeles Army Reserve commands, many 311th Soldiers' full-time careers are with the police departments, businesses and other agencies, which makes the Army Reserve an important part of California’s largest city.

The LAPD’s Car Show included many types of police vehicles, ambulances, fire trucks, classic and rare cars, a police motorcycle show and more. With Los Angeles’ beautiful year-round weather, citizens are very active and bring their families to these outdoor events in great numbers.
