Service members celebrate 107 years of Army Reserve

CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait – Service members deployed to the U.S. Army Central Theater of Operation participated in a Morale, Welfare and Recreation 5K run to celebrate the Army Reserve’s 107th birthday on Camp Arifjan April 23.

The Army Reserve makes up nearly 20 percent of USARCENT, which is the ground component command in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.

Each branch of the Armed Forces has a component command in the CENTCOM Theater to help integrate each service’s capabilities in a cohesive joint operation.
