CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. - Three Capital District New York National Guard enlisted members will be recognized by the Enlisted Association of the New York National Guard during an annual dinner Saturday night, April 25.
WHO: 120 members of the Enlisted Association of New York and guests. Guest speaker is Fleet Master Chief Terrence I. Molidor, command senior enlisted leader for Headquarters, North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command.
Service members being recognized are:
• Army Spc. Michael Rowland, New York Army National Guard Soldier of the Year, a personnel specialist assigned to the 501st Explosives Ordnance Disposal Battalion based in Glenville;
• Senior Airman James Comstock, New York Air National Guard Airman of the Year, a supply technician assigned to the 109th Airlift Wing based in Scotia;
• Master Sgt. Michael Lazzari, New York Air National Guard First Sergeant of the Year, he is assigned to the 109th Airlift Wing Mission Support Group, Scotia.
Three other Airmen and a Soldier from other areas of New York will also be recognized.

BACKGROUND:
The Enlisted Association is a non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting the status, welfare, and professionalism of all members of the state's organized militia. The group will recognize seven outstanding Soldiers and Airmen of the New York National Guard during their annual awards dinner.
The guest speaker for the dinner is Fleet Master Chief Terrence I. Molidor. He is the command senior enlisted leader to the four star general commanding Headquarters, North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. Molidor is the principal adviser to the NORAD and USNORTHCOM commander on all enlisted matters and provides the enlisted perspective on strategic vision, goals, objectives, theater security cooperation and enlisted professional development.
Maj. Gen. Patrick Murphy, adjutant general, as well as senior enlisted leaders, Command Sgt. Major Louis Wilson and Command Chief Master Sgt. Richard King, will join 120 attendees to recognize New York's outstanding Soldiers and Airmen of the Year.
