HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, is scheduled to host its 15th annual Small Business Forum 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 15 at the Jackson Center in Cummings Research Park.
The forum is an opportunity for small business representatives to talk about their capabilities with Huntsville Center contracting officials and program managers and learn about upcoming opportunities to work with Huntsville Center.
“There will be representation from our Center Contracting department leadership and our local Small Business Administration Procurement Center there to brief upcoming procurements and discuss current regulation changes affecting small business concerns respectively,” said Rebecca Vucinaj, Huntsville Center Small Business Office chief.
The forum is also an excellent networking opportunity, according to Vucinaj, because many larger businesses looking for small business subcontractors are also in attendance. In addition, many small business firms with similar interests meet at the event and often team together to go after some of the Center’s larger procurements.
Registration for the free forum will close Oct. 8. Business representative are encouraged to register as soon as possible to ensure relevant subject matter experts and program managers are available during the event. Small business information and registration details are available at www.hnc.usace.army.mil/BusinessWithUs/SmallBusiness.aspx or by emailing sbo-hnc@usace.army.mil.
“Please routinely check the Center’s website for forum updates or cancellation notices,” Vucinaj said.
Center contracting forecasts, updated monthly, are available at www.hnc.usace.army.mil/BusinessWithUs/Contracting.aspx.
Jackson Center in Cummings Research Park is located at 6001 Moquin Drive, Huntsville, Alabama 35806.
