    Afghan forces kill one insurgent, arrest three in Logar

    LOGAR PROVINCE, Afghanistan — Afghan National Army Special Forces led a patrol advised by coalition forces which resulted in the killing of one insurgent and the arrest of three suspected insurgents in Delwar village, Baraki Barak district, Logar province.

    The Afghan led patrol was conducted to disrupt Haqqani Network and Taliban sponsored terrorism and crime in the region.

    According to reports, the location of the killed insurgent and those taken into Afghan custody was the result of information provided by a concerned citizen.

    The three captured insurgents were turned over to the custody of the Afghan National Police for processing.

    The appropriate Afghan governmental officials, including Baraki Barak’s district chief of police, Mohammed Qasim, and district governor, Mohammad Rahim, were notified and pledged their full support for the Afghan National Security Forces led mission.
