    Ten insurgents killed in Bati Kot

    PARWAN PROVINCE, Afghanistan - Afghan National Army Special Forces killed ten insurgents Feb. 15 during a clearing operation to support provincial police Chief Brig. Gen. Ahmed Sherzad’s security efforts in Nangarhar province.

    ANASF were clearing a village in Bati Kot district when several groups of heavily armed insurgents opened fire on them using rocket-propelled grenades, machine guns and small-arms fire. ANASF immediately returned fire, killing ten of the insurgents.

    The special forces soldiers also discovered a weapons cache consisting of six AK-47 assault rifles, four machine guns, and one RPG.
