District Governor, Afghan Local Police give back to Musahi
KABUL PROVINCE, Afghanistan- Musahi district leaders donated more than 300 backpacks, notebooks and other supplies Sept. 21 in the Qeshiaq and Sanginustad villages in Kabul province.
District Governor Qazi Suliman and Afghan Local Police Commander Sanayee distributed school supplies following an ALP recruitment shura. Haji Rahimjan, Qeshiaq village elder, hosted the event.
“The goal of the ALP is to serve and defend the people,” said Suliman. “They are not foreigners. They are your sons and brothers, so let us continue to bring our sons and brothers to this program to serve you.”
As Afghan National Security Forces have taken the security lead throughout Afghanistan, ALP in most areas have developed a reputable standing as the first line of defense for their home villages.
“ALP is the main pillar that supports security, safety and happiness without discrimination,” said Suliman.
Suliman spoke to students at the school about the importance of education while ALP provided security. He stressed that the best way to serve their country and ward off insurgents is by continuing their education. ALP, he added, are dedicated to preserving the children’s future in Afghanistan.
“Without the ALP enemies of Afghanistan would be free to move from village to village and fight,” said Sanayee. “I believe that ALP is a very important asset to have in fighting enemy threats and all leaders should support this program.”
