PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. - New Marines of Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, and Papa Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, took to the streets of Parris Island, S.C., for a traditional motivation run Aug. 1, 2013, the day before graduation.
The 2.3-mile run is held the morning of Family Day, when the new Marines receive a few hours to reunite with their families and loved ones after more than 12 weeks of separation. Fox and Papa Companies are scheduled to graduate Aug. 2, 2013.
