PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. - Recruits of Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, marched in their initial drill evaluation July 1, 2013, on Parris Island’s main parade deck.
Four drillmasters, experts on the Marine Corps Drill and Ceremonies Manual, evaluated recruits on their discipline, attention to detail and bearing. Close-order drill is used during recruit training to instill discipline, teamwork and pride. Charlie Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 23, 2013.
