MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Calif. –Maj. Gen. Steven Busby, commanding general of 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, hosted a luncheon with the Corps’ youngest leaders to help build his committed and engaged leadership initiative aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., May 6.
Busby picked their brains to see how he could improve his initiative as effective as possible.
“Our new idea factory has shut down,” said Busby. “We get some of the best ideas from lance corporals.”
The new initiative empowers noncommissioned officers to help alleviate as many problems as possible in the air wing. He hopes the thoughts of lance corporals will shape and mold the initiative in a way that will work for a newer generation of Marines.
