    Blanchfield Army Community Hospital

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. Former Blanchfield Army Community Hospital Emergency Center chief returned to visit BACH Mach 15, this time as a Tennessee state senator. Sen. Mark Green serves the surrounding Fort Campbell community as state senator for District 22.

Green also toured the newly renovated Women's Health Clinic. The new clinic's design and care concept focus is centered around the patient.

Before moving back into their renovated space March 5 this year, the Women's Health Clinic team incorporated many components of the medical home model in their care plan. Although the medical home model is currently a primary care initiative, even speciality care patients can benefit from aspects of this model.

Green also toured the Warrior Resiliency and Recovery Center and learned about plans to open a Child and Family Assistance Center at Fort Campbell. The CAFAC will offer a one-stop care location for services such as Marriage and Family Therapy and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Green did not escape his old stomping grounds where he served as an Army major, running the busy operation of the Emergency Center.

Blanchfield's Emergency Center continues to be one of the busiest
Emergency treatment facilities within the Army.

"It was good to see old friends," Green said.

Green looked forward to his visit to Fort Campbell and witness the
changes made in hospital services. Green stated that he wanted to make sure that there were no barriers in the way he, as a state senator, can help.

"Some of the biggest changes were in the physical plant of the
hospital and in the patient focus," said Green. "The changes that were made were good from the perspective of the patient."
