From the left, Yuki Haramoto, Miho Esashi, Ayaka Ogawa, Yukako Saga, and Misa Oyama render a salute following a Kizuna Project presentation on the March 11, 2011, tsunami that hit the coast of Japan. The presentation was also focused on expressing their country’s appreciation for U.S. relief support to the people of Japan. The Kizuna Project is sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help spread awareness of what took place on March 11, what is happening now, and to express their appreciation for the relief aid to the people of Japan. According to one of the project delegates, this was the only opportunity that the group had to present to a U.S. military audience while in the U.S. for the past six months.
