An Army UH-60 Black Hawk from the Aviation Applied Technology Directorate at Fort Eustis, Va., passes over a Navy recording device Aug. 6 during Acoustic Week at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The Black Hawk passed over the sound equipment at different speeds and altitudes to provide unique acoustic variations to be recorded. The event is a three-week project hosted by the 46th Test Squadron and Project Chicken Little. It is a cost-shared opportunity between the government and customers to collect specific and general sound data from ground and aerial vehicles. The event began July 29 and ends Aug. 15.
