An Army UH-60 Black Hawk from the Aviation Applied Technology Directorate at Fort Eustis, Va., performs a flyby Aug. 6 while acoustic equipment on the ground records each sound it makes during the pass on the Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., range. The sound recording was for Acoustic Week, a three-week project hosted by the 46th Test Squadron and Project Chicken Little. The event is a cost-shared opportunity between the government and customers to collect specific and general sound data from ground and aerial vehicles. The event began July 29 and ends Aug. 15.
