First Lt. Craig Dangel, supply officer, Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, his daughters Savannah and Layla, race against Sgt. Raul Mantecon, motor transport operator, H&S Co., 1st LAR, and his daughter Leilani during the battalion’s Bring Your Kids to Work Day at Camp Las Flores here, Aug. 9, 2013. Highlanders, the battalion’s nickname, and their children participated in field games such as the egg toss, three-legged race, tug of war and a modified version of the Combat Fitness Test during the family day event. Dangel is a native of Cincinnati and Mantecon is a native of Wilmington, Calif.
