The 386th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron combat metals shop is unique since it takes two different Air Force Specialty Codes and puts them in the same area working side-by-side. The shop consists of the metals technology and structural repairs AFSCs, something that is not done at home stations. The shop has not only completed jobs for the 386th Maintenance Group but they have also repaired items from the expeditionary force support squadron food services department and gym, the expeditionary civil engineering squadron and expeditionary logistics readiness squadron. In addition, they have finished work for the local Army detachment, and coalition and international partners.
