A paratrooper from the 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division emplaces a flex linear charge during performance-oriented testing at the battalion's breachers course, on Fort Bragg, N.C., Aug. 9. The flex linear charge, a length of detonation cord and tape, is placed next to the door's hinges and is designed to blow the door off of the frame. The "Red Falcons," currently part of the nation's Global Response Force, held a breachers training course designed to equip infantry team members with the skills necessary to employ mechanical, ballistic and explosive means of gaining rapid entry into locked structures in support of contingency noncombatant evacuation operations.
